Independence day fun

Olives fell off a cement something or other in the back yard and gave himself a good scrape on the little goose beak.
Daddy and Oliver watching the 100,000 firetrucks in the 4th of July parade. (That's a slight exaggeration, but there were plenty.)
The gang at the Brainerd football field for the fireworks. What a show! -Andrew, me, Oli, cousins Megan and Canole, boyfriend Scott Wacker.
Oliver was entranced.

Hilarity on 5 Mile

The toilet on the landing, very conveniently located right inside the lower entry door... so it's no longer a problem if you're gardening and suddenly gotta go. Sadly Andrew dispatched the toilet, which I scolded him for.
Olives enjoying watermelon in his new yard.

Some clothes left from the former owner. Thanks, Gladys.
Dear Gladys had enough scarves to outfit the world... or at least every female at the next Kasper garden party.

Oliver's day...
Peek-a-boo with Uncle Jonny.
Chillin'.
Cryin'.

--I have more pictures of the house that shout 'renovate me!' in a fairly hilarious way which I'll post sometime. I hope to be near this machine of Mom's again soon keeping everyone up to speed on the [de]construction!

Bruce taking a break. What hard workers we've had at the house!
The view of both stairways. Someone had quite the vision for color...
The kitchen is pretty adorable, but Andrew is excited to raise the cabinet standard.
Through the kitchen and dining room into the living room. Bonnie worked on tearing out years of linoleum (how many layers before your head would touch the ceiling? Someone was on a quest to find out...we stopped em).

Pink couch and chair original post

Our house! You can see Hector dashing through the picture. He had fun yesterday as he familiarized himself with the landscape (10 acres!).

The cute little sofa and chair left by the former owners. Also giving you a glimpse of my favorite out building - it's lined in beaded board and equipped with a wooden refrigerator. Very fun!
